A Quick Word from Nancy
While the stitching design chosen will highlight, it should never overshadow your quilt! My goal is to blend the layers together so that your work is what shows.
Many longarm quilters suggest pre-washing. I feel fabrics have greatly improved and shrinkage is minimal. I prefer a gentle washing after the piece is completely finished. A small amount of puckering around the 'quilting' gives it a sweet, soft look.
My Gammill Classic Plus is 14' long which will easily accommodate a king-sized quilt. This great machine features a stitch regulator which allows me to maintain a consistent stitch size. I like to use 8 stitches per inch.
Quilting
Cost for quilting is $0.01 per square inch.
Multiply the width of your quilt in inches times its length in inches.
There will be a minimum charge of $20.00 on any size quilt. There may be an extra charge for special thread, pressing, anchoring edges, etc.
Batting
Most customers send their own batting, but I stock several types for your convenience!
Binding
Binding is my favorite part! I will cut, seam (diagonally), fold, iron and machine stitch your binding to the front; this includes mitered corners. Customer does hand stitching. Charge is $20.00 to $25.00 depending on size.
Please send one yard of additional fabric for binding a twin or full-size quilt, one and one-half yard for a queen or king-size. State your preference for a folded 2 ½” or 3” binding for your quilt.
Turnaround time varies per season and workload. Please email me for an estimate.
